Penguin Noir Tour 2025 Adelaide (SOLD OUT)

We’re thrilled to announce that Penguin Noir is coming to Adelaide, and we are proud to be hosting four stellar crime writers in one place at the Coventry Library, Stirling. This promises to be a fabulous night of dark and deep and fun chat between some of the year’s best crime writers: Gareth and Louise Ward, Amanda Hampson and Margaret Hickey. There'll be goodies, a glass of SC Pannell wine with your ticket, and a sneak peek at the hottest thrillers for 2025. Please join us at 7pm on Wednesday March 26 at the Coventry Library, Stirling for late summer noir.
Tickets are $12 (& include a glass of award-winning SC Pannell wine), and the cost of your ticket can be redeemed against any of the three books being discussed on the night ($12 off $35 rrp).

Margaret Hickey is an award-winning author and playwright from North East Victoria. She has a PhD in Creative Writing and is deeply interested in rural lives and communities. She is the author of the bestsellers Cutters End, Stone Town, Broken Bay and The Creeper.

Gareth and Louise Ward are the real-life owners of independent bookshop Wardini Books, with stores in Havelock North and Napier, New Zealand. They met at police training college in the UK and are both ex-coppers. Both are obsessed with their rescue dog Stevie, avoid housework and gardening, and live in the cultural centre of the universe that is Hawke’s Bay, Aotearoa New Zealand. The Bookshop Detectives is Gareth and Louise’s first series together.

Amanda Hampson is a Melbourne-based author who has been writing professionally for more than thirty years and is the bestselling author of nine novels. Her cosy crime series started with The Tea Ladies, which won the 2024 Danger Awards for Best Crime Fiction and was Shortlisted for the 2024 Davitt Awards - Best Adult Crime and the 2024 Ned Kelly Awards – Best Fiction. Her latest novel, The Deadly Dispute  will be released early, especially for this event.
